Monmouth Tea

My husband and I came here a little after opening to try the milk tea and get the awesome price morning set combo 500 yen for both milk tea drink and muffin. You get to choose any of the milk teas in any size. I got the large iced milk tea and husband got medium hot milk tea with whipped cream. I don’t think we paid any differences since our total bill was 1040 yen) For muffins I chose the last cherry cheese muffin and husband got cookie. The muffins were warmed up and packaged carefully in a paper with grease paper. Cherry cheese muffin was so warm moist and delicious. Not too sweet of course. The cookie muffin was a little more sweet and a little dry like a cupcake texture, but husband loved it because he has a sweeter tooth. The milk teas were amazing!! The black tea flavor shown through and it was the right amount of milkiness with a little sweet. Delicious and great value. Highly recommend.

Delicious sweetened black milk tea. The tea is strong in flavor and enriched with milk and sugar. For someone who never adds sugar to my coffee or tea, it’s definitely on the sweet side. But it’s not as sweet as sugary Starbucks drink or soda, so it was somewhat tolerable. You can’t make any changes or modifications to the drink. Since this is a black milk tea specialty store, the menu only consists of black milk tea (cold, hot, with whip cream, without whip cream…). I wish they had a less sweet option. If they reduced the sugar a bit, it’d be perfect. Service is very fast, you’ll be in and out in minutes with your drink.

You can have milktea with ice cream here! I really like it. It's a sweet treat. The ice cream floats on a layer of whipped cream, so you can either mix it all together, or deink the tea as is and have the ice cream later on :3c
